Most of the Ukrainian citizens stand for the direct dialogue with the occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Viktor Medvedchuk, the Head of Political Council of Opposition Platform - For Life party said this in the evening show at 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"Today, 70 percent are saying Zelensky should set the direct dialogue with President of Russia on peace issues. And 55 percent believe he should go for a direct dialogue with Donetsk and Luhansk to reach peace and stop military actions. This is the demand of the majority of the people", he said.

Medvedchuk added that the telecast with Russia could be useful in setting direct talks with Russia, too.

"This is why the telecast is not about politicians and officials; it's about the people. It would be the element that helps create the basis, the groundwork for the things that can be done so as to change the situation. Counteracting this, arguing this, forbidding this... I consider it a crime against freedom of speech and against the rights of our citizens", he said.
