A registry of debtors in Ukraine has already included more than 1,7 million citizens of our country. Relevant data are available on the Opendatabot government website.

“Debtors from the registry may be prohibited from leaving the country, they are refused permission to open current accounts in a bank, they may receive canceled requests for the alienation of property and they may be refused to provide any notary services (for example, to buy or sell real estate), and this may also affect the employer's decision regarding the debtors," said Opendatabot lawyer Mykyta Podgayny.

According to the Ministry of Justice, more than 1.7 million Ukrainians are currently in the register. 92% of enforcement proceedings are collection funds from individuals, 8% - from legal entities.

The reasons why people fall into the register of debtors are failure to comply with a court decision, failure to pay an administrative fine, failure to pay utility bills, failure to pay child support, and non-payment of loans.
