In Russia, more than a hundred people detained by the police during the rallies in support of Aleksei Navalny, who is now under administrative arrest, OVD-Info reports.

At the same time it is specified that 18 people were detained in Yekaterinburg, 12 people in Tula, 11 people in Saratov, 10 people in Samara (seven have already been released), 8 people in Nizhny Tagil. There are detainees also in Kaliningrad, Krasnodar, Moscow, Perm, St. Petersburg, Pskov, Rostov-on-Don, Saransk, Saratov, Selyatin, Sochi, Stavropol, Tver, Tyumen, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Yakutsk.

It is also reported that there is evidence of the beating of one person in Yakutsk. In Yekaterinburg, one person lost consciousness during the detention. The police refused to respond.

Earlier, it was reported about 80 detentions in 21 cities of Russia.

We recall, supporters of Alexei Navalny today hold rallies and pickets with the requirement to allow the politician to participate in the presidential elections. Most of actions are inconsistent with local authorities.

It is noteworthy that the protests take place on the 65th birthday of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
