North and South Korea may negotiate on the highest level soon; Moon Jae-in said this at a press conference in Seoul, as NHK quoted him.

‘I’m ready to hold such meeting granted that it contributes to solving the nuclear problem and restoring relations between the countries’, he said.

Pyongyang and Seoul have recently resumed official talks – after the two-years-long break. The North Korean regime expressed readiness to send its athletes to perform at the upcoming Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Seoul, in turn, assumed it could temporarily lift sanctions off North Korea during the Games.

The two governments also boosted efforts to de-nuclearize the North Korean regime.
