It is reported that the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko, members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Kyiv City Council and the chairman of the Solomyanska Regional State Administration took part in the opening of the memorial sign.

"Doctors are the main heroes of the last 2 years all over the world. Throughout 2020, doctors fought every day with a small virus that affected the life of many people. And in this struggle, unfortunately, we had not only victories, but also defeats - we lost lives ... lives of patients and the lives of doctors who sacrificed themselves in the struggle for the lives of others. Therefore, doctors are real heroes of this time, "the message says.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 51,992 deaths have been recorded due to complications caused by the coronavirus in Ukraine.
