Ukraine needs to double its work in key areas, including in the fight against corruption. This was stated in an interview with UNIAN by the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini.
"We are expecting the adoption of a bill to create an independent and effective Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, as a result of which it will fully comply with the recommendations of the Venice Commission," she said.
According to Mogherini, another important step is "to make sure that the declarations of assets of high-ranking officials and public figures are really being analyzed."
She added that the EU "also expects the reform of the electronic declaration system to allow civil society and public organizations to carry out their work."
We recall, the visit of Federica Mogherini to Ukraine will begin tomorrow, March 12. During the visit, she will meet with Prime Minister Groysman, as well as present a new information campaign "Moving forward together."
