EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini has invited the foreign ministers of the EU countries to the informal dinner on November 13 to discuss the results of the US presidential elections and the prospects for EU-US relations. This was stated by her official representative of Maya Kotsyanchich on Twitter.
"Federica Mogherini today invited EU foreign ministers in Brussels on Sunday evening for an informal discussion of the future path in its relations with the United States", said the spokeswoman.
Earlier it was reported that German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has offered the EU Foreign Ministers to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the implications of the US presidential elections. The next meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels was scheduled for November 14, and now ministers will meet the day earlier.
