Modernized Vilkha MLRS tests in Odesa region

Test missile launches took place in Odesa region, southern Ukraine, as the military tested the modernized Vilkha MLRS. The press office of the National Security and Defense Council reported that June 13.

Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak and National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Danylyuk inspected the drills.

The drills confirmed that the weapon's characteristics matched those tasked in the tactical and technical requirements. 

The Council added that growing the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces is one of the priorities for this authority.

Vilkha is a Ukraine-made MLRS, which derives from the Smerch multiple-launch missile system. State Construction Bureau Luch claims that the weapon's characteristics surpass these of the same-class MLRS developed in Russia.
