Minsk trilateral contact group could not reach consensus about the 'harvest ceasefire' and the release of captives in Donbas. Darka Olifer, the press secretary of Leonid Kuchma, Ukraine's representative in the group posted this on Facebook.
According to her, this is because of the position of Russian representatives in the group.
"In the view of Russia's position, one could not reach any progress - neither in terms of harvest ceasefire nor in terms of release of the detained people", Olifer wrote.
She admitted that Ukraine agreed on the "all for all" option of captives' release, making an offer in return: to speed up the process, completing to the formula step by step. The process of identification of the captives continues.
By the end of the week, the parties hope to set the date of taking down the fortifications in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska. "The schedule is up to the OSCE SMM", Olifer added.
The next meeting of the group is planned for July 17.
