Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov announced the introduction of electronic passports for citizens of the country. The official spoke about the new project on Ukraine TV channel.
“We have already agreed, thanks to our migration service, I am very grateful to her that at the end of this winter we will launch an electronic passport. And it will already be possible to travel around Ukraine, fly by air, travel by train with this document,” Fedorov said.
The e-passport can be used via smartphone. This type of electronic document involves several authorization systems and a password. It will be possible to quickly exit the system if the phone is lost.
As we reported, Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has launched verification of data between registries.
