Ukraine's Minister of Defense Andriy Zahorodniuk and French Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Etienne de Poncins discussed the issues of the military cooperation, as the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine reported.
Zahorodniuk and Poncins discussed the continuation of the military and political dialogue between Ukraine and France as well as the issues of the military cooperation and the development of its priority courses.
The Ministry of Defense thanked France for the support with the Normandy format the aim of which is to terminate the Russian aggression against Ukraine and restoration of the country's territorial integrity.
Zahorodniuk underlined that the Euro-Atlantic course of Ukraine remains unchanged and the introduction of NATO and Armed Forces of Ukraine standards are the priority ones. He also told the French side about the military institution's reforms directions.
For its part, Poncins expressed hope for the further continue and deepen of the relations between the countries and mutually beneficial cooperation between Kyiv and Paris.
