Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli said that over the past four years, Ukraine has taken a number of steps in order to modernize the country. Mingarelli stated this during the summing up of the implementation of Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU for 2017, reports Unian.

According to Mingarelli, in Ukraine, under severe conditions, a number of reforms were introduced, and those who do not see them are "either idiots or people with a limited point of view."

"We have no doubt that now I will not describe the list of reforms that were introduced in very difficult circumstances, but if you do not see it, you are either idiots or people with a limited point of view. If you doubt this, tell me, and I will tell you the entire list of extraordinary ambitious reforms that have been initiated, "Mingarelli said.

He added that there is no doubt that over the past four years, the authorities have taken a certain number of steps in order to modernize the country and turn it into an open democratic society. Mingarelli expressed the conviction that in Ukraine there is a war for its European choice.

"Our common responsibility is to implement the Association Agreement in life," he stressed.
