During the shakeup, new 11 ministers were appointed and 24 deputy heads of different ministries were dismissed. In the video message, the military mentioned the appointment of new heads of Foreign, Defense, Border Security, Planning, Finance and Industry, Investment and External Economic Relations ministries.
Moreover, 24 deputy ministries were dismissed; particularly, the chancellery of the state councilor, the chancellery of the union government, planning, finance and industry, information, religious affairs and culture.
Besides, the chancellery of the president of Myanmar introduced the emergency state in the country for a year; while the legislative, executive and judiciary power was passed to the Commander-in-Chief of Myanmar.
As we reported, a military coup took place in Myanmar on early Monday, February 1. The troops arrested President U Wyn Myint, State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi, and other top-rank statesmen.
As the arrests were conducted, the military TV of Myanmar announced the state of emergency in this country, which is supposed to last one year. The MRTV, the state-run television, and radio ceased to work. Telecommunications in the capital and some other regions are down.
