The US State Department revealed the details of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s visit to Ukraine on January 3. In particular, on this day, Pompeo will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The program of the visit is published on the website of the State Department.
"Secretary Pompeo will travel to Kyiv on January 3, where he will meet with President Zelenskyy, Foreign Minister Prystaiko, and Defense Minister Zahorodnyuk to reaffirm U.S. support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Secretary will also attend a wreath laying ceremony at St. Michael’s to honor those who have fallen in the Donbass, and meet with religious, civil society and business community leaders to discuss human rights issues, the investment climate, and the government’s reform agenda," the report says.
In addition, Pompeo will attend the ceremony of laying flowers at the memorial Wall of Memory near Mikhailovskaya Square in order to honor the memory of those who died in the Donbas.
The US Secretary of State will meet with representatives of civil society and the business community and religious leaders to discuss human rights issues, the investment climate, and the government reform agenda.
