Microsoft Company spotted three groups of hackers from Russia, China and Iran, who recently attempted attacks on the websites of the politicians and organizations participating in the presidential election campaign in the U.S. as the Microsoft reported.
Particularly, the issue is about such hacker groups as Strontium from Russia, Zirconium from China and Phosphorus from Iran.
The first group attacked the website of over 200 organizations, including the political HQs, advocacy groups, parties and political consultants. The report of Robert Mueller, who headed the investigation of the Russian interference in the American presidential elections 2016, Strontium was mentioned as the organization that is mainly responsible for the attacks on the presidential campaign of the democrats in 2016.
The second group committed the cyber attacks on the high-profile individuals associated with the election, including people associated with the Joe Biden for President campaign and prominent leaders in the international affairs community.
The Iranian hackers continued to attack the personal accounts of people associated with the Donald J. Trump for President campaign.
