Tapes that were recently released by the Dutch medium confirmed that Russian mercenaries of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" believed they shot down a Su fighter of Ukraine's Air Force in July 2014. As is known, in actuality, they downed the MH17 passenger flight of Malaysian Airlines. This is mentioned in the recent report by NOS TV channel.

30 minutes after the tragedy, a man with the voice of Leonid Kharchenko, head of the DNR intelligence unit one of the suspects reports to Sergei Dubinsky, the retired officer of Russian military intelligence.

"We're in position, one Su is already down", Kharchenko said. "Oh, well done, well done, you downed a Su!", the answer followed.

Judging by the conversation after that, the suspects were not aware of the disaster of MH17 flight at the moment. That conversation took place two hours after the attack. An unknown interlocutor asks Dubinsky: "Journalists, including the ones from NTV (Russian government-funded channel) call me, and they keep asking that the Beoing fell down near Donetsk, some 80 kilometers away from Donetsk. Is that true?".

Dubinsky did not understand what it was about, replying: "Well, there's a fight going on, what do you mean?".  And then, he added: "Oh yeah, our men took it down at Savur-Mohyla mound. Nor far from Mariinka. Our guys downed a Su".

There were no further mentions about Being 777.
