MH17 case: Court holds hearing on November 12, - LIVE

On November 12, the District Court of the Hague is continuing with the hearing in the MH17 case. This was reported by the press service of the court.

"The session will continue on Thursday, November 12, 2020. Then the State Prosecutor's Office, or possibly the next day, will respond to the requests of the defence party. On November 25, 2020, the court will decide which motions are accepted and which of them will be rejected," the statement said.

The meeting began at 12:300 a.m. CET time.

The last hearing took place on November 5. The defence asked the Public Prosecution Service (PPS) to answer questions they have following the complaint submitted to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) by the Dutch government against the Russian Federation.

As we reported earlier, the plane was destroyed while performing a regular flight from the Netherlands to Malaysia in July 2014.

The tragedy took place in the sky over the militant-held section of the Donetsk region, not far from Snizhne town.

All 298 people aboard deceased; most of the victims, 196, were Dutch, but there were citizens of another nine countries as well.
