Ukrainian doctor who worked in Lydia and had been kidnapped a few days ago was released, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informs.

The doctor had a work contract in Sebga and was kidnapped by one of the many armed groups. “The release happened thanks to the agreements reached by the Ukrainian diplomats in the negotiations with the leaders of local tribes,” the statement says.

The ministry has yet again called on the citizens of Ukraine who are currently in Libya to leave the country promptly, as due to the difficult security situation in the country, resolving such issues through diplomatic means gradually becomes more difficult.
