German Chancellor Angela Merkel will visit Washington on July 15 where she will meet with US President Joe Biden. The parties will discuss Nord Stream 2. This was announced by the press secretary of the White House Jen Psaki during a briefing.
"On Thursday, July 15, the president will receive German Chancellor Angela Merkel in the White House," Psaki said.
According to her, the leaders will discuss a number of issues, including Nord Stream 2.
Meanwhile, on July 12, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. They will discuss the de-escalation of Donbas conflict and reforms in Ukraine.
Merkel will host Zelensky at the Federal Chancellery, where they will have a joint dinner on July 12 at 7 p.m. (8 p.m. in Kyiv).
"The meeting's topics will include bilateral relations, implementation of the Minsk agreements on the conflict settlement in eastern Ukraine, the process of Ukrainian reforms, economic issues and relations with Russia," German government's spokesman Steffen Seibert said.
