Earlier United States Senate approved a draft law on the U.S. national security budget 2018. This was announced by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on his Facebook page.
"The US Senate approved a draft law on the U.S. national security budget 2018, which provides for the allocation of 500 million dollars to support Ukraine in the security and defense spheres," the head of state wrote.
According to him, the draft law authorizes the provision of lethal arms of a defensive character to our state. It also includes provisions that allow U.S. defense budgets to be used to rehabilitate wounded Ukrainian servicemen in the United States medical facilities, and to strengthen the capabilities of our state's air and naval forces.
