Viktor Medvedchuk, Member of Ukraine’s Parliament and Chairman of the Political Council of the Opposition Platform - For Life political party, said that on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada, commenting on a statement by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Vadym Prystaiko, about the possible war between Russia and Belarus.
“I’m a lawyer by education. Here, I think, it’s better to consult a psychiatrist. Because of such statements by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry... Whatever. It’s even ok when a person talks about what he is worth, and his mental and intellectual abilities, but with such statements, he casts a shadow over the country that he represents in the foreign affairs department, ”Medvedchuk said.
According to the opposition politician, such statements indicate not just Prystaiko’s narrow-mindedness. This is evidence that this person, in general, is far from the important sphere he was placed.
“Of course, this is absurdity and stupidity. And it’s not for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to talk about it. In this situation, it’s simply impossible to describe it as “I am hurt for my country,” Medvedchuk summed up.
