“It threats Ukraine, first of all, its authority, if it exists in the international arena. Because, certainly, the things happened in 2016 and interference of the in fact official bodies of power and its representatives in this process…I, by the way, told about it earlier, referred to the decision of the court, which established the guilt of then MP Leshchenko and NABU Head Sytnyk who directly interfered in the election campaign of Trump an finally it went sideways for Ukraine either in some way,’ the politician commented the recent scandal with the publication of the correspondence of the NABU workers with the American embassy.

Medvedchuk believes that such interference in foreign elections is the infringement of the sovereignty of this or that country and Ukraine should not do it.

“Of course, it also adversely affected; the content of the published phone talk between Mr. Zelensky and Trump adversely affected, particularly in the respect of the authority, the respect of the president and the respect of Ukraine in general. And today it is discussed on the pages and different mass media in Europe, there are official positions on it of France and Germany; the estimations sounded during this conversation between Mr. Zelensky and Trump,” he believes.

Medvedchuk predicts that these episodes will bring nothing positive and they will confirm once more that the corruption in Ukraine prospered, prospers and there is nothing seen that may stop it. “Because, the current authority continues to be like the previous one in such issues,” he concluded.

Earlier Ukraine’s MP Andrii Derkach, the initiator of the criminal case on interference in the US elections, released documents, according to which First Deputy Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Gizo Uhlava has been providing information to the US Embassy in Kyiv for several years, which negatively influenced the course of events in Ukraine and USA.
