The longer Ukraine will tolerate the colonial attitude of the International Monetary Fund, the worse it will be. The Chairman of the Political Council of the Opposition Platform - For Life Party and MP Viktor Medvedchuk said this to the reporters of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

“I think new requirements will appear, and in the near future we will find out about them, because these are not only the demands of the World Bank, or the IMF, it is in general a policy towards Ukraine, politics towards a country that is, if not a colony, then a semi-colony, which is in the sphere of external control of the West. And the more we tolerate this, the worse the situation will be, not only with coronavirus, because coronavirus is a secondary phenomenon, which will pass with God’s help,” he said.

“And such a situation will be in the economy, in the social sphere, and with the political situation in the country in general. We are going the path when the country is falling apart. And on behalf of Opposition Platform - For Life Party we repeat all the time that if we don’t brace ourselves, if we do not deal with issues related to the economy, if we continue to indulge Western funds, Western international corporations, IMF and the World Bank in matters of economic development, then we will fail completely,” the MP added.
