The residents of certain regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions should not be viewed as terrorists and murderers, but as citizens of Ukraine who must return home to our Ukrainian family, where the Ukrainian people, as stated in the Constitution, are citizens of all nationalities, and there is no division by territory. The Chairman of the Political Council of Opposition Platform - For Life Party and MP Viktor Medvedchuk expressed such an opinion during the “Big Interview” on 112 Ukraine TV channel.

“When I reported about the peace plan at the congress of our party in January, I said that the main task is to return people through their consciousness, through security measures. And it is not only an amnesty. People should believe that when they return to Ukraine when Donbas returns to Ukraine and Ukraine returns to Donbas, it will be much better than what is happening today. All these sentiments, if you trust them, they certainly contradict all this. This means that there is already a line between us. Not the fence that Prystaiko and other government officials are talking about, but the line which seems insurmountable today, but it is not, it is not so,” he said.

“We need to make sure that these people are not only regarded as terrorists, killers, militants but that these are Ukrainian citizens who must return home, must return to their family, to our Ukrainian family, where the Ukrainian people, as stated in the Constitution, are citizens of all nationalities, and there is no division by territory. We must restore these territories, we must restore the border between Russia and Ukraine, we must do all this,” the MP stressed.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko said Ukraine could withdraw from Minsk agreements if the Normandy Format meeting would not bring the results.
