Sex scandal involving an MP from the Servant of the People faction is unacceptable in a civilized society. The best way out of this situation is for him to resign. The Chairman of the Political Council of Opposition Platform - For Life Party, MP Viktor Medvedchuk said this in conversation with journalists on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada.
“Well, you understand, it’s absolutely clear that this sex scandal is encouragement and actually participation in a process negatively regarded in the entire civilized world. It is the sexual exploitation of women, which they fight all over the world, against the slavery of women. All these processes, when they appear in the actions of the MPs of Ukraine, the head of the Committee on Foreign Relations and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation ... well, this is a blatant violation of all moral and ethical standards,” the MP said.
“I think that such a person, who encourages and does such things can neither be the head of the committee, nor the MP. And I think that the best way out of this situation would be for him to resign from the post of committee head and resign as a parliamentarian. Because such actions cannot be tolerated in a normal, civilized society, and it’s not just not working in favor of the Verkhovna Rada, it’s a disgrace to it, casting a shadow over the whole Verkhovna Rada,” Medvedchuk said.
As it was reported earlier, MP from Servant of the People party Bohdan Yaremenko was caught in flagranti, as he and a prostitute named Alina apparently discussed the conditions of their rendezvous and the price of sex services.
Yaremenko stated that his intimate correspondence with a prostitute was a "rash act".
