Viktor Medvedchuk, the head of the political council of Opposition Platform - For Life party is not going to lay any claims to the post of Vice Speaker of the new convocation of the Ukrainian Parliament. Co-head of Opposition Platform-For Life Vadym Rabinovych said so, commenting on the latest rumors regarding this question.

"We'll talk this through if they offer us... I can tell you this much: I already discussed this with Viktor Medvedchuk, and the head of the political council of our party will not take the seat in the Parliament's presidium; he will focus on the work in the party. Besides, Viktor Medvedchuk already had some experience working as the First Vice-Speaker and the Vice-Speaker. This is he will not set out for this office; party-related work is the priority for him right now", Rabinovych stated.
