On the eve of the meeting of the Servant of the People party faction, where they had called the ministers call to account, the network published a record of the meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk, where he admits ambiguous statements addressed to the president. Strana news agency reported that.
As you can hear on the video posted on the YouTube channel “How to Deceive the President”, during the conversation Honcharuk, National Bank Deputy Head Katerina Rozhkova and Finance Minister Oksana Markarova discuss the dollar in Ukraine and economic issues before meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Zelensky has a very primitive understanding of economic processes. He understands that there is a balance of payments. The balance of payments is very wrong, and the hryvnia has greatly strengthened," Honcharuk said in a video.
The Prime Minister says that it is hypothetically necessary to explain to Zelensky that the hryvnia is being strengthened due to the fact that it was shaken heavily before the election. And now people saw that there was nothing to fear, because there was a "strong president." "He doesn’t have this in his head. We need to show and it needs to look very realistic, we’ll talk," Prime Minister said.
“Until the president has an answer to this question, he will have an empty space there,” - Honcharuk continued to explain to the audience how to “enlighten” Zelensky.
"And this crap on the topic of bonds will fly to him (we are talking about government bonds speculation, which is attributed to the sharp strengthening of the hryvnia, - ed.) It gets into the head because there is fog," - Honcharuk specified.
“I’m a complete layman in economics - I’m a lawyer by education. But what do I understand? There are two economic theories - monetarism and Keynesian. You are following the path of cheapening resources. And you are following the path of printing money and how to develop the economy,” - the Prime Minister said .
"If you go by reducing the cost of resources, then your strategy is to reduce inflation," - Honcharuk said, making it clear that the option of "how to develop the economy" is not considered.
As we reported, Cabinet of Ministers has approved a list of strategic enterprises that are forbidden for privatization.
