North Korea distributed coal to South Korea and Japan circumventing the UN sanctions through Russian ports, Reuters reports sourcing the Western intelligence.

According to them, North Korea sent the coal at least three times through Nakhodka and Kholmsk. A U.S. security source also confirmed the coal trade via Russia and said it was continuing.

The UN imposed sanctions on North Korea for its ongoing nuclear weapon tests. The country refuses to stop them.
