September 27, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree declaring martial law in the country from September 28. Haqqin.az reports about it, referring to the words of the presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev.
According to the decree of the President of Azerbaijan, a curfew is introduced in Baku, Ganja, Sumgait, Uvlasi, and a number of other cities from 21:00 to 06:00.
During this time, it is prohibited to go out into the streets and other public places without special permission and identity documents.
It should be reminded that this morning, September 27, the command of the Azerbaijani army decided to launch a counter-offensive operation against the armed forces of Armenia along the entire front in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed the active phase of hostilities and specified that the Azerbaijani side launched missile strikes along the entire line of contact, as well as at peaceful settlements, including the capital of the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Stepanakert.
Later, the government of Armenia declared martial law and general mobilization in the country.
