The managing director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde noted the leadership of the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in conducting reforms in Ukraine and expressed sureness in successful implementation of the whole program of cooperation during 2019.

Petro Poroshenko met with Christine Lagarde in the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland).

Importantly, that the communicators were pleased with the state of development of cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF and the beginning of the implementation of the new “Stand-by” program.

The President of Ukraine and the Managing Director of the IMF discussed the prospects for Ukraine's economic growth in 2019.

“It was emphasized that the deficit of the state budget, inflation, gold and foreign exchange reserves correspond to all the conditions, previously set by the documents of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund”, - it is said in the report.

Poroshenko also reported on the steps taken in order to reform the tax and customs sector, to ensure the stability and efficiency of the financial sector, to conduct large and small privatization.
