Italian law enforcers apprehended a man who fought in Donbas on the side of Russian militants.
ANSA cited the investigated team, which revealed that the individual sided with the so-called "people's republics" in Donbas and was regularly paid for his service.
The 28-year-old did not own Ukrainian citizenship; he was not even a permanent resident in this country.
The Italian police also found out that the man has been spreading information about his military activity since 2016.
Apart from that, upon the detention of this man, the Italian police conducted an investigation to reveal the gabg of recruiters who provided financial support for mercenaries in Donbas.
As we reported, Ukrainian forces stationed in Donbas took casualties in Donetsk region, as the enemy broke the ceasefire again. Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on May 6. The illegal armed formations of Russian occupants landed an attack on Ukrainian positions in the area of Novotroitske, Donetsk region, using man-portable anti-rank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. One Ukrainian servicemen was killed in the attack; another one suffered severe shrapnel injury. He is currently in a grave condition, getting the necessary medical assistance at a hospital.
