A man set himself on fire during the protest against consequences of the medical reform; the event took place next to the building of Presidential Office in Kyiv on February 26. 112 Ukraine news agency broadcasted the rally live.

Other participants in the meeting rushed to put out the fire on his clothes. They rendered first medical aid, and the protester was able to get up. Now, the doctors will have to check his health conditions.

The man explained that he wanted to draw attention to his problem. He's been trying to complete a legal procedure to get the ownership of the land parcel in Sumy region, northern Ukraine. The government, he said, took no action in this.

On February 26, Ukrainian medics all over the country reached the main square of Kyiv, protesting against shutting down of hospitals and cutting the payments.

Earlier, Davyd Arakhamia, chairman of the Servant of the People’s parliamentary faction, announced the final vote on the land market bill in April. He stated this in a comment to reporters, the channel "112 Ukraine" conducted the broadcast.

“Yesterday, we measured the speed of editing changes. Today we’re still measuring, but it’s not accelerating, you see. Then if we move at that speed, regardless of how many session weeks we have, it will happen in April, then April 16-17, something like that," Arakhamia said.
