British delegation member Madeleine Moon was elected as a new president of NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Chairman of the permanent delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Iryna Friz reported this on Facebook.
‘British delegation member Madeleine Moon was elected as a new president of NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Yesterday, on behalf of our delegation, we congratulated her on the appointment. We have invited her to Ukraine, in particular to the second International Congress of Women,’ Friz claimed.
According to her, Moon promised to properly continue the activity, which Paolo Alli and Rasa Juknevičienė started, on strengthening the unity of the Assembly, developing the solidarity of all nations in defending democracy, supporting defense and our security, which is sometimes taken superficially.
Moon replaced member of the House of Representatives of Italy and coordinator of inter-parliamentary relations with Ukraine Paolo Alli. He was elected President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in November 2016.
