The President of France Emmanuel Macron lowered onto nucleare submarine from a helicopter on Tuesday, July 4, BBC reported.

Macron spent four hours underwater. He met with officers and crew, went through a simulation exercise and was given a tour.

During the visit to the submarine, "Le Terrible", off the Brittany coast, Mr Macron wearing a naval uniform reportedly took part in a simulated missile launch.

The drill was intended to tell the world that France won’t be intimidated, as North Korea launched its first successful intercontinental missile.
