As Zhovkva noted, the Ukrainian-French interaction in the political and economic spheres will continue in the new year.
"In the first half of 2021, we are preparing for meaningful high-level talks during the official visit of French President Macron to Ukraine, during which a number of new economic projects will be launched," Zhovkva said.
As we reported earlier, president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron both called for holding Normandy Summit in the short term. The parties agreed on this during a telephone conversation.
"Emmanuel Macron supported his Ukrainian counterpart in the idea of holding the talks in the Normandy format in due course. He also praised Zelensky’s peace initiatives and Ukraine's efforts to demine territories in Donbas and disengage forces in the region. The French President assured that Ukraine can count on his determination to help end the war," the statement said.
