French President Emmanuel Macron said on the air of the Russian First Channel that he would arrive on Victory Day in Russia in 2020, Interfax reported.

He said that the celebration of this date is important for France.

“Because we know that many owe Russia and those who resisted,” said Macron.

French President has assured he intends to do everything possible to return the sailors to Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelensky, in turn, thanked France for its position on Russia's actions in the Black and Azov Seas and stressed that Ukraine will continue to work with NATO to maintain and guarantee the security of its maritime borders.

“All of them should be released as soon as possible. And Russia should fulfill the decision of the International Tribunal and return the captured sailors. And I believe in that,” declared Zelensky.
