President of France Emmanuel Macron insists on keeping the EU's tough position towards Russia, when it comes to the situation in Ukraine. Macron said so, replying to experts of a research centre of the Atlantic Council, as quoted by RBC

"In certain issues, including the situation in Ukraine or in case with oppositioner Alexei Navalny, we need to keep the tough position", Macron said.

At that, the French leader believes that the dialogue with Russia is still possible on such topics as arms control. According to Macron, it would be impossible to maintain peace in Europe without such approach.
