Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko said that he is ready to resign if he does "wrong things" or does not achieve his goals. The minister said this during a conversation with journalists, Hromadske reports.
"I spoke to the faction (Servant of the People - ed.) when they made a presentation for the position ... I talked about my specific vision of the medical field. They asked me if I would be ready to leave the post if they saw that I was doing the wrong things or I do not achieve certain goals that I spoke about, "Lyashko said.
He replied to the MPs that he was ready to leave the post. He also assured that he would do what he said.
According to Lyashko, his team will include people who have come to work as chief specialists, and will become deputy ministers, and "this is inspiring."
On May 20, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Viktor Lyashko the Minister of Health of Ukraine.
Prior to his appointment, Lyashko promised the MPs over the summer to carry out 10 million vaccinations against coronavirus, having vaccinated 5 million Ukrainians with two doses.
