Yuriy Lutsenko, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine initiated Kholodnytsky’s resignation on March 30. Lutsenko appealed to the Qualifications and Disciplinary Commission of Public Prosecutors concerning Nazar Kholodnytsky, his Deputy and the Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

Also, Kholodnytsky claimed that the Prosecutor General’s Office opened the criminal proceeding against him due to the disclosing of the details of the pretrial investigation, particularly, the Suprun case.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau asks the Qualifications and Disciplinary Commission of Public Prosecutors to initiate the dismissal of Nazar Kholodnytsky, the deputy prosecutor general and head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) instead of the reprimand for the gross violation of the prosecutor’s ethic. It is pointed that on July 16, NABU Head Artem Sytnyk sent the objection of the conclusion of the Qualifications and Disciplinary Commission of Public Prosecutors toward Kholodnytsky.
