Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko met with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine, Ernst Reichel, the parties discussed the reform of the General Prosecutor's Office and cooperation. It is reported by the press service department.

Yuriy Lutsenko outlined the main systemic changes that have already occurred in the prosecutor's office, and told about the future plans of reforming the department.

Stressing the priority areas of work in the fight against corruption, the prosecutor general of Ukraine noted that overcoming this shameful phenomenon in the prosecutor's office will meet the expectations of society and will help to improve the level of trust in law enforcement. Also Lutsenko told about the further intent of attracting new people to the prosecuting authorities.

In addition, the sides discussed some issues of bilateral cooperation during criminal proceedings.

Ernst Reichel assured Lutsenko of the German support of set of reforms that are taking place in Ukraine, and readiness to continue cooperation in criminal matters.
