President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has promised to extradite apprehended Wagner PMC militants to Ukraine. He stated this in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Dmytro Gordon, Radio Svoboda reports.
"He said that Zelensky had asked him to hand over those who fought against Ukraine in Donbas, including Ukrainian citizens. He [Lukashenko] noted that the green light would be given to the prosecutor's office and other law enforcement agencies of Belarus which will do everything necessary to transfer criminals to both Russia and Ukraine in accordance with the Belarusian legislation," Gordon said.
As we reported earlier, according to Lukashenko, another unit of Wagner PMC had been deployed in the southern region of Belarus.
"Today, we got a word about another unit that was deployed in the south. So instead of collecting the harvest, we should be chasing them in the woods. We will catch them all," he stated.
Commenting on the incident, the head of state emphasized that Russia had been interfering with Belarus' domestic affairs, including the presidential election campaign.
