Russia can supply Belarus with weapons worth more than $ 1 billion by 2025. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA informs.

“These are about a dozen planes, some of which have already been received by us, these are several dozen Tor-M2 helicopters. There are large volumes,” Lukashenko said.

He said that at the talks in the Kremlin, he and Vladimir Putin paid much attention to defense and security issues, discussed the prospects for the supply of S-400 complexes to Belarus. He noted that “now the S-300 complexes have completely blocked the western direction of Belarus, but we have added a southern direction,” which Lukashenko plans to block with the S-400 air defense system.

“We have to prepare the 1200 km border with Ukraine. Therefore, we will have to close this perimeter as well. And we were just talking about the fact that the S-400 would be appropriate for us,” the Belarusian president added.

It is noted that Russian weapons will be delivered to Belarus until 2025.

At the end of July, Lukashenko announced that he was ready to deploy the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the republic if it was necessary for the security of the union state.
