Lukashenka noted that it is necessary to constantly monitor the situation at the border.
“As we agreed: to Gomel from Moscow along the southern border of Belarus, the western border, to Postavy in the Vitebsk region, from Postavy through Orsha, they fly to Moscow,” he said.
According to him, the Russian and Belarusian military should monitor the "Baltic-Poland-Ukraine ring".
As it was reported on November 8, Belarusian journalists have published a video of a large crowd of migrants heading to the Polish border. It is noted that, according to preliminary estimates, several hundred refugees were heading for the border. Among the migrants were children.
In this regard, the Ministry of Defense of Poland has increased the level of combat readiness of troops. Currently, more than 12,000 soldiers are on duty at the border, they are in a state of combat readiness. At the same time, migrants claim that their ultimate goal is not Poland, but Germany.
Migrants have set up a camp near the Polish border. According to the Polish authorities, there are 3-4,000 illegal migrants in the immediate vicinity of the border.
Head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen called on the EU countries to approve an extended sanctions regime against Belarus due to the situation with migrants on the Polish border.
