The investigation and trial against detained in 2017 representative of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) and perpetrator of subversion. He was sentenced to nine years in jail as the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported.
The perpetrator came to Kharkiv in 2016 and started the preparation for the subversion, which had to take place in July 2017. The explosion of the car with the gas reservoirs had to occur in the public place.
The perpetrator was informed about the contractors about the admissibility of human casualties and had a backup plan for the subversion to throw the explosive device on the representatives of the state bodies from the quadcopter.
After the detention, the terrorist told law enforcers about the existence of the so-called ‘blacklist’. The state and public figures were included on it. The special services of Russia and quasi-republics wanted to eliminate them.
During the searches of the house of the saboteur, the law enforcers found 600 grams of hexogen, five electric detonators, Walther P38 with a suppressor, over 100 9-mm bullets, communications tools and quadcopter.
The investigation established that during 2014-2016, the detained actively participated in the activity of the so-called LPR. Particularly, he was the commander of the detachment in the terrorist structure of KGB of LPR with nickname Mordvin.
Besides, a man participated in the attacks on the positions of Ukrainian military in Debaltseve.
