As of October 23, no polling station for the upcoming local elections is equipped with temperature screening devices and disinfectants. This was stated by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova, Novyi Chas reports.
"To date, no station is provided with screening and disinfection means so that people can use them, disinfect their hands," she said.
According to Denisova, the polling stations assure that they will be provided with everything necessary for voting in the conditions of the coronavirus epidemic this Friday.
As we reported earlier, Interior Minister Arsen Avakov issued a statement in which he urged Ukrainians not to violate election legislation.
"I also appeal to the participants of the election process - from candidates to members of the commissions: do not spoil your life with punishment for breaking the law, it is not worth it. Respect yourself and respect the law," Avakov said.
According to him, almost 140,000 of its employees will be involved in ensuring public order during the upcoming local elections.
