The Foreign Ministry of Lithuania suffered a cyber attack, which resulted in the leak of classified information. Delfi reported that with a reference to President Gitanas Nauseda. 

"We have reasons to believe that duting the attack on Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, hackers could have received the access to classified documents", he said.

The Lithuanian leader said the incident was investigated; the leak of this information could cause a lot of damage - first of all, to Lithuania's allies. However, Nauseda said he could not reveal any details.

"Due to the hacking of mail servers, they stole some 1.5 million letters from the Ministry to embassies, NATO partners as well as certain documents marked as classified', LRT reported.

The Ministry does not reveal any details of the attack.
