Lithuania remains to be an advocate of Ukraine in the EU and NATO. The Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Viktoras Pranckietis claimed this as the press service of the Ukrainian Government reported.
He noted that Vilnius was and remains to be the advocate of Ukraine in the EU and NATO and first of all in the context of the military Russian aggression.
‘But today the economic success is also under consideration. That is why the idea of the Marshall Plan appeared that we sounded and defined in the EU and the US’, Pranckietis said.
According to him, the idea is supported both at the political and investment levels.
It is reported that Lithuania took the 14th place in terms of volume of the bilateral trade in 2016. The key export earners are mineral fuels: petroleum and the products of its refining, fats and oils of the animal and vegetable origin, wood and forest products, electrical machinery and ferrous metals.
