Lithuania's Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Linas Linkevičius called the opening of the Kerch Bridge railway connection a violation of international law. He wrote about it on his Twitter page.
“The construction of railway of the Kerch bridge between Russia’s occupied Crimea & mainland is yet another violation of sovereignty & territorial integrity. We condemn this violation of international law. will never recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea,” Linkevičius wrote.
As we reported earlier, the train passed the Crimean Bridge for the first time. The Presidential Representative of Ukraine in Autonomous Republic of Crimea called such actions of the Russian Federation illegal, and the prosecutor's office stated about the opening of the criminal proceedings regarding the construction of the bridge.
"The Representative Office of the President of Ukraine in Autonomous Republic of Crimea stresses the unlawfulness of the launch of the railway connection between Russia and the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine - Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, which took place today, on December 23, 2019," the press service of the Office stated on Facebook.
