Leaders of the G7 countries are ready to cooperate with Russia in the settlement of conflict in Syria. This is wrote in the final declaration of the G7 summit.
"If Russia is ready to use its influence positively, we are ready to work with it over the political settlement of the conflict in Syria, and we are ready to contribute to the reconstruction costs when a reliable, credible, political transition begins," the statement said.
The summit participants stressed that Russia and Iran, which have influence on the Syrian regime, should do everything possible to use this influence to end the conflict, beginning with the establishment of a real ceasefire, the cease of chemical weapons use, the provision of safe, immediate and unhindered humanitarian access to all To needy people, and to release any arbitrarily detained persons, as well as to provide free access to their prisons.
