Al-Qa’ida terrorist organization confirmed the accuracy of information about the death of its leader in the Arabian Peninsula Qasim al-Rimi, as The Voice of America reported citing Site Intelligence Group.
On February 7, the U.S. authorities stated on successful special operation on the elimination of leader of terrorist organization al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula Qasim al-Rimi.
“At the direction of President Donald J. Trump, the United States conducted a counterterrorism operation in Yemen that successfully eliminated Qasim al-Rimi, a founder and the leader of al-Qa’ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and a deputy to al-Qa’ida leader Ayman al-Zawahiri,” the message reads.
Earlier the number of American mass media reported about the elimination of al-Baghdadi. It was known that he detonated the vest with explosives to avoid the detention. However, the DNA test and biometric test should be held to prove it.
